Ayurvedic Medicines Best Before  Common Saying that in Ayurveda Medicines don't expiry. this may seem odd but according to ancient scriptures, there are duration limits described for maximum potency of medicines. although after passing this duration all medicines do not expire but gives the best results when used within the duration. let's understand how long different medicines result best. Best Before of Churna and Raw Herbs 1. Raw Herbs- collected from farms or forests will give the best results for 1 year. 2. Single herb blend or Simple Churna- gives best results for 3 months, for example, ashwagandha churna, amla churna  Blend of herbs with salts or asafetida or Mercury will best for 6 months, for eg.  (putting in a glass airtight container will help to keep its medicinal value for even longer) Best Before of Asava and Arishth 3. Introduction The Earth Element The element earth, called “Prithvi” in Sanskrit. Earth element comes 5th in the formation of five super elements(Pancha mahabhutus). Earth evolves by rest four super elements Ether(space), Air(vayu), Water(Jal), Fire(Agni).  sense organ of the earth element is the Smell sense, and the associated organ of smell sense is the nose. nose manifests the sense of smell in our body and this affects us both emotionally and physically. there is a therapy called Aromatherapy or smell therapy. it is found very effective in many diseases like reducing stress, relieving anxiety, recovering depression, improve focus, boost energy, strength immune, balance hormone level, etc.

What Is Water Element? What is the water element Water element comes forth, in order to formation of elements, water element also called as “Jal tatva”, water element evolves by all three elements we understood till know The Air, The Ether, and The Fire.   As we have heard that our body has more than 60% of water. Now you would ask when I got cut no water burst out of my skin its blood. So every fluidic substance in the body represents the water element. We need to understand that crystal clear water, not the only water, every fluidic substance has a water element. Back to the human body, the water element nourishes and protects our body. Every element has its unique property, the water element helps to balance other element's roles in our body.

What is a Fire Element?  The fire element, Also known as "Agni", It is the third of the Pancha mahabhootas(five super elements). fire elements evolve from space(ether) and air elements. ether or space needed to form fire (which never gets still) and the air is needed to burn. What is Fire? The fire element represents light and heat. Fire produces energy for the body. Fire is the process of releasing energy from its source.   The factor of the fire element is rupa (formation or color). Fire produces the light and due to light the sense of vision is taking place, and the associated organ through we sense vision is eyes. disorders related to Vision perception are due to the fire element.

What is Air Element?   What is Air? The air element, Also known as “Vayu”. Air is the second of the Pancha-mahabhootas. because it originated from the ether. The air element represents the motion, the flow, the moment, a form of kinetic energy. The factor of air is "Touch"(स्पर्श) . In our body, the skin (to sense touch) and The hands (to reach out to touch) are associated organs of Air element. Ether Element Introduction: What is the space element? Ether is the vast area but it doesn't have a boundary, it is often referred to as “Emptiness” or sky or “space”. Ether is the first one of the great elements, because it is the most subtle element of all. The factor of Ether element is sound because, The origin of ether is word(शब्द). let's understand the sense of “sound” in the human body, the ear is the organ to sense the sound or ‘element ether’, and the mouth is its organ to produce the sound. simply, diseases related to hearing and voice are diseases that relate to deterioration or unbalance of the ether element. Pancha Mahabhoota   Panch mahabhoota made with three words panch, maha, bhoota. Panch means five and maha refers to great, bhoota refers to elements that exist, combine meaning would be “Five great elements of existence”. According to Ayurveda scriptures and Scholars, these fundamental elements are responsible for the creation of the universe, including humans. There is a balance of these five elements in the universe. The Elements are Space, Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. Every element has a specific role in itself. If this balance is disturbed it can be dangerous for the universe and also for the people.
